Policy for Specially Protected
Vulnerable Groups

As PAPILLON HOTELS, it is our primary responsibility to protect specially protected and vulnerable groups—both employees and guests—from all forms of psychological and physical (harassment/abuse), commercial, or other exploitation. To ensure this, we:

  • Recognize that specially protected/vulnerable groups (children, individuals with physical/mental disabilities, individuals over 65, pregnant women, women or children under KADES protection) must be kept away from any approach or abuse that may negatively affect them physiologically or psychologically, and that communication must be handled sensitively as they are a group that requires protection.

  • Do not permit the employment of child workers under the age of 18 (except interns under 18), and we expect the same sensitivity from all our business partners.

  • Provide internship opportunities to students within the standards set by official institutions and grant all rights defined by law.

  • Offer environments and opportunities where vulnerable groups within our facilities can comfortably express their thoughts, wishes, and emotions and feel free and at ease.

  • Provide training to all personnel on the prevention and identification of child abuse and offer scholarships for the specialized education needs of employees’ children with disabilities.

  • Strive to remain aware of attitudes and behaviors toward specially protected/vulnerable groups, as well as signs of physical, verbal, or psychological violence or neglect, and remain alert in such cases.

  • Ensure that children participating in activities or entrusted to supervised environments (such as Papy Kids) are always under adult supervision.

  • Organize trainings and support relevant projects to raise awareness about the protection of children’s rights. By participating in the EU-supported Child-Friendly Tourism project in 2019, our certified trainer has provided and continues to provide training to employees on this topic.

  • When witnessing suspicious actions involving children, we notify hotel management first and, if necessary, request help by calling 0 (501) 183 0 183 / 183, or 157 for our foreign guests.
