Sustainability
Green Purchasing Policy
As PAPILLON HOTELS, we prioritize;
- the importance of our suppliers having certifications related to environment, human rights, labor health and safety, and sustainability, as well as compliance with environmental regulations.
- We give preference to suppliers and products that are sustainable from an environmental perspective, including food, beverages, construction materials, and consumables, and we conduct periodic audits.
- We take care to ensure that our suppliers utilize natural resources without harming the ecosystem.
- We consider animal rights in all our purchasing activities, pay attention to the sustainability of their usage in wildlife trade, and ensure compliance with local/regional and international laws. We do not procure suppliers that violate hunting laws for endangered and threatened species, or supply illegal goods.
- We specifically prefer products and suppliers with environmental certifications among those sourced from nature, especially wood, paper, fish, other foods, and fuel. In places where certified products and suppliers are not available, we investigate the origin and methods of production or growth and take them into account.
- We carefully manage the purchase and use of fewer consumables and single-use materials in our facilities to minimize waste, and we prefer reusable, returnable, and recycled products.
- We seek suppliers who are working to minimize waste and manage it properly, and we prefer those who provide less packaging or alternative packaging options in product packaging.
- In our activities, we pay attention to purchasing products that cause minimal harm to the environment and consume less energy, and we prefer local/regional purchases to ensure that the products’ logistics and storage processes also have less environmental impact, aiming to reduce their emission rates.
- We support local enterprises in developing and marketing sustainable products and services based on the region’s nature, history, and culture.
- According to the principle of fair trade; we avoid situations that could lead to bribery, corruption, or conflicts of interest, and we prioritize business partners who comply with legal regulations and commercial ethical rules in all areas. In this context, we measure and manage the ratios of the goods and services purchased.
- We protect the intellectual property rights of all our business partners.
