Green Procurement Policy

As PAPILLON HOTELS, in our supply chain management we:

  • Prioritize working with suppliers who hold environmental, human rights, occupational health and safety, and sustainability certifications, and who comply with environmental regulations.

  • Give priority to environmentally sustainable suppliers and products—including food, beverages, construction materials, and consumables—and conduct periodic audits.

  • Ensure that our suppliers use natural resources without harming the ecosystem.

  • Protect animal rights in all purchasing activities and ensure that wildlife trade and use comply with sustainability principles and local/regional/international laws. We do not procure illegal products, nor do we work with suppliers involved in the hunting or trading of invasive or endangered species.

  • Prefer environmentally certified products and suppliers for nature-derived items—especially wood, paper, fish, other foods, and fuels. Where certified options are unavailable, we research and consider the origin and production methods.

  • Carefully manage the procurement and use of fewer consumables and single-use materials to minimize waste in our facilities, and prefer reusable, returnable, and recycled products.

  • Expect our suppliers to work toward minimizing and properly managing waste and to offer reduced or alternative packaging solutions.

  • Prioritize the purchase of products that cause minimal environmental harm and consume less energy; we prefer local/regional procurement to reduce environmental impact during logistics and storage, aiming to lower emission levels from deliveries.

  • Support local initiatives that develop and sell sustainable products and services based on the region’s nature, history, and culture.

  • Follow fair trade principles by avoiding situations that could lead to bribery, corruption, or conflicts of interest and giving priority to business partners who operate in accordance with legal regulations and commercial ethics. We measure and manage the proportion of goods and services purchased under these principles.

  • Protect the intellectual property rights of all our business partners.
