Special Protection Policy for Vulnerable
Groups

As PAPILLON HOTELS, our primary responsibility is to monitor and protect all types of psychological, physical (harassment/abuse), commercial, etc. exploitation involving vulnerable and special protection groups, both staff and guests. For this purpose;

  • We are aware of the necessity to keep special protection/vulnerable groups (children, individuals with physical/mental disabilities, individuals over 65, pregnant women, KADES protected women or children) away from any approach and abuse that may negatively affect them physiologically and psychologically, and to show sensitivity in communication, recognizing that they are a vulnerable group that needs protection.
  • We do not allow children under 18 years of age to be employed (except for interns under 18 years of age), and we expect the same sensitivity from all our business partners.
  • We provide internship opportunities to students within the framework of standards set by official institutions, granting all rights defined by law.
  • We offer environments/opportunities where special groups can comfortably express their thoughts and wishes, feel free and at ease.
  • We provide training to all staff on the prevention and detection of child abuse and offer scholarships for special training for the children of our employees with disabled children.
  • We work to be aware of the attitudes and behaviors towards special protection/vulnerable groups, and the signs of physical-verbal-psychological violence or neglect, striving to remain alert in such cases.
  • We ensure that children are under the supervision of adults during the activities they participate in or in entrusted environments (such as Papy Kids, etc.).
  • We organize trainings to raise awareness on the protection of children’s rights and support related projects. By participating in the Child-Friendly Tourism project organized with the support of the European Union in 2019, our trainers, who have trainer training certifications, have provided training on this subject to our staff and continue to do so.
  • When we witness suspicious actions related to children, we first inform the hotel management, and in any situation deemed necessary, we seek help from the following numbers: 0 (501) 183 0 183 / 183 and 157 for our foreign guests.
